Basic Coffee Scrub Recipe
For a natural exfoliant that helps to decrease cellulite and reduce varicose veins, try this invigorating facial and body coffee scrub to gently remove dead skin cells. Leaving you with beautiful skin.
You will need:
2 cups coffee grounds
1/2 cup raw sugar or sea salt
2/3 tablespoon almond oil (or other light oil, such as grapeseed or jojoba)
Personally, I prefer to use coffee fresh from the container, but reusing your coffee grounds as a coffee scrub is an excellent way to save money. The brand does not matter, although I tend to be a Folgers kinda girl. You may use organic or not. The choice is totally up to you. However, I am unsure when it comes to using flavored coffees, as I have not done much research into those.
If you are reusing your coffee grounds, use the warm coffee grounds within twenty minutes of brewing. You do not want to loose any of the beneficial benefits found in the coffee.
Be sure to apply coffee scrub to wet or damp skin. The best time to do this is in the shower so that you can rinse it off after application. Apply the coffee scrub directly to your skin and rub it in circular motions with your fingers, or use a washcloth or loofah. Remember, the circular motion helps to distribute the caffeine to eliminate cellulite and varicose veins.
Repeat as often as you normally exfoliate to enjoy fresh, healthy skin.
