The American Heritage Medical Dictionary defines balm as "being an aromatic salve or oil" and "a soothing, healing, or comforting agent". Balms have been used in folk and herbal medicine for years. Balms are an excellent means to taking advantage of the healing properties of herbs and botanicals.
Packed in pocket size containers, usually, balms can go with you everywhere. Balms may be applied liberally to the skin. The best way to heal your skin is to avoid artificial ingredients, synthetics, petroleum products, and perfumes. After all, your skin is not made up of these nasties.
Balms may be used for minor skin damage, burns, bruises, sprains, rashes, and more. Balms have been used for soothing dry or chapped skin.
